ABOUT US
AAFRC is a non-profit, charitable organization with offices in Altona, serving Altona and surrounding communities of Gretna, Rosenfeld, Emerson, and Dominion City by providing free parent-child programming for preschoolers and their parents.
The Altona and Area Family Resource Group (AAFRG) was formed in 1998 by a passionate group of local individuals working in education, health, and family services. The need for a community based volunteer group, who would champion the cause of early childhood and family needs resulted in a community forum that gave rise to AAFRG. This made-in-Altona solution to a community need has continued to grow and evolve over the past 20+ years to the organization that it is today.

Today, our board consists of 12 volunteers, representing a wide variety of organizations and partners within the community. We provide opportunities and resources to our local families to help them thrive.
